What is happening

21.9 million people needed assistance in 2025, including 6.9 million children, as fighting between the military and resistance forces spread across most states.

The March 2025 earthquake struck communities already hosting displaced families, collapsing clinics and schools that had survived the conflict.

What we don't think about

Villages that hide by day

Communities in Sagaing sleep in forest shelters and return home only between air raids, farming in short unpredictable windows.

Rohingya in a tenth year

Nearly a million Rohingya remain in Cox's Bazar camps in Bangladesh with rations repeatedly cut.

Banking blackouts

Cash cannot move easily into conflict areas, so aid must be delivered by local networks operating at real personal risk.
